The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania, in partnership with Gettysburg National Military Park and Taps for Veterans, have announced “One Hundred Nights of Taps” each evening at 7 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day at the Soldiers’ National Monument in the Gettysburg National Cemetery.
Renowned bugler and bugle historian Jari Villanueva is assembling a team of buglers for this 100-evening event. Among the buglers signed up to perform are military veterans, Civil War re-enactor buglers, community band members, high school and college students and music teachers.
As an event sponsor, Kanstul will be donating a specially-built, regulation Bb bugle featuring a copper bell and commemorative engraving—to be awarded to one of the 100 volunteer buglers at the closing ceremony. The National Park Service plans to display the bugle in the Visitor Center at the Gettysburg National Cemetery over the course of the One Hundred Nights.
Kanstul has been building regulation and ceremonial instruments for many years and for top military organizations, such as the US Army Band Herald Trumpets. We’re honored to be part of this salute to our nation’s fallen.
